================================== About AVI Constructor Pack 7.8.1 ================================== 03-02-2009 Basically, this update mainly fixes a few problems with the "Image(s)" menu but also a few other problems. Added: Saves the "Add Images Window"-"Add Position" Fixed: "Always insert audio file " should now work correctly after program restart. "save clipboard image and add at position" should now work correctly. "Start my default image editor with this image" should now work correctly when you have a valid image file selected. removed: "save clipboard image into ..." I removed this for 1 reason: I accidently rewrote a file I didn't want rewritten. If it did it perhaps others have too. For that reason I removed it. Changed: Renamed various menu items under the image menu. Basically, added "Clipboard Image" as well as "Viewer Image" to relevent menus. "Save Image #x" turn into "Save Viewer Image" "Save Image #x + Update Link" turned into "Save Viewer Image and Update Link #x" ================================== About AVI Constructor Pack 7.8.0.1 ================================== 03-02-2009 Fixed: + A font problem with the Add Images Window. + A flicker problem with the main display. ============================== About AVI Constructor Pack 7.8 ============================== 02-26-2009 News: I'm planning on giving out free upgrades until 2010 for everyone who purchases AVI Constructor Pack this year ( as well as a year or two before that ). This is a first in a series of updates. This year I hope to improve AVI Constructor Pack a lot. ( There are a lot of problems I am finding and fixing. I also plan on adding additional features. ) Changed: The command line now requires you to use: AVIFile= for the output avi file. And ImageFileList= for the image file list. This actually made it easier for me to fix certain command line problems. See help menu for more details. The main image viewer for both AVI Constructor and AVI Extractor has been replaced. This version has a standard image viewer. It does not require DirectX to run anymore. Fixed: When previewing the AVI, the audio should now playback correctly. Fixed lots of problems with the command line options. Basically, there were lots of problems with options not being set correctly. Fixed some problems with it silently crashing using the command line. Fixed the ability to VideoCodec=?. ================================ About AVI Constructor Pack 7.7.1 ================================ 06-04-2008 This version fixes two problems related to video compression that were found version 7.7. Changed: Removed the video compression option "Ask for Compression ..." in favor of keeping "No compression" and "Always use specific compressor ...'. Bugs Fixed: A user report that when the video compression option "Ask for compression" was switch on, the switch "No compression" is always on. When "Ask for compression" was selected, the avi build would fail. ============================== About AVI Constructor Pack 7.7 ============================== 05-27-2008 This version should fix some problems issues that were in the last version. There were also some new features added related to keeping temporary files and auto-pasting "alive" from one session to another. Features Added: If auto-pasting was on when you exit the program, auto-pasting should now be on when you restart the program. Temporary files should now be saved from session to session. Temporary files should now only be deleted when you select "New Project". Changed: You can now add image files that do not exist to AVI Constructor both from a file list and dragging and dropping the file onto the main window. This way, AVI Constructor won't alter an already good project just because the file doesn't exist. Changed items and shortcut keys in main "project" menu. Moved "Add files from file list" menu so that it's under "Add Images ...". Renamed "Get images from AVI ..." to "Add images from AVI ..." Bugs fixed: AVI Constructor not being able to extract images from certain AVIs that were compressed. AVI Constructor eliminating files that didn't exist on project load. Auto-capturing was adding duplicate images when first starting. Basically, auto-capture should now work as expected. ( You turn it on, and as soon as you copy an image to the clipboard, the image gets added to AVI Constructor. ) AVI Constructor wasn't added certain images to the project when dragged and dropped onto it. You can now drop any file onto AVI Constructor and it will add it to it's frame list. That, however, doesn't mean that it will actually be able to use or view the file in the frame list. Sometimes "Save Image + Update Link" that would update the file link with a bogus fileame. When building an avi, the total size of the avi was reported as KB but it was actually in bytes. That was fix so now it should report KB. The temporary file prefix was being reported as _Temporary even though it was something else. The following command-line problems were fixed: The program would crash when the user passed bad command line parameters. The program would asks to select a “save-as” file name even though the user already provided one. The program would crash if there was an error building the avi file; It should now report the errors to the user.
